DIARY HK/SHANGHAI ft. WORLD EXPO - DAY 5

The move from HK to Shanghai! Along with 4 Yii [an auntie] and Paw Paw [grandma]. We would catch flight FM810 - a 767 Shanghai Airlines domestic flight (but they gave us 737 safety booklets :S). It was delayed 37mins at HKIA, so I used the free wifi :) However, it was further delayed during flight as well. We had to stop over at Xiaman, which is closer to HK than Shanghai. The airport, at most, could only hold 7-8 small planes :S Furthermore, we had to wait at least and hour INSIDE the plane, so I called home to see how theyy were going. Apparently there was massive fog over Shanghai so no one could fly in. Luckily, I was in a window seat, so I wasn't THAT bored. Eventually, we arrived in Shanghai, but it had less people than I expected - like it had too few people being an international airport in a pretty popular city... Anyway, we were part of a tour group, so we all got on a bus. Aaaaand it was a long drive to the CBD - so the tour guide asked cheesy questions e.g. Do you know what the tallest building is in Shanghai? Do you kknow what's best to eat? Do you know how to cross the road? Then we reached some place called 10 mile road wihch is apperntly very famous. There we ate dinner and went shopping. Next stop: Shanghai Bay, where we took picuteres of the famous tower + old British structures which were lit up. The hotel we would stay in was called The Mandarin, and the only tv channels were CCTV 1, 2, 3, 4, 5,... It's worth noting the crazy driving rules in Shanghai, which include: merging across 3 lanes, always running red lights, flash-cameras as etag sensors, horns beeping every 2 seconds, and driving on the right side of the road... which is wrong XD
